P.A.C.E. 2010 Seminar Info

Attend, Listen, Learn, and Share!!

As described on the P.A.C.E home page, P.A.C.E. is a 3-day seminar for law enforcement by law enforcement designed to combine lecture and hands-on training with total participation in the evolving tactics of criminal interdiction. There will also be a class on current trends detected locally in Massachusetts.

At P.A.C.E. you will become enlightened to your natural abilities as a veteran law enforcement officer to detect criminal behavior and articulate it in a manner that results in solid convictions. Determine when to take your law enforcement encounter to the next level to locate and access contraband even when disguised using elaborate electronic, hydraulic, and other secret compartments whether in motor vehicles or in residences.

P.A.C.E. Massachusetts was established in 2001 as ACE (Aggressive Criminal Enforcement) and has been offered on seven different occasions and attended by over 1000 police officers and law enforcement personnel. P.A.C.E. invites the best of the best to instruct area law enforcement on how to hone their abilities in detection and interdiction of criminal activities. P.A.C.E. always works to improve each year by reading participant evaluations and tweaking the total presentation.

Sheriff Mike Lewis of Wicomico County Maryland and retired Maryland State Police Sergeant will return this year to present. His approach to law enforcement and his "way of life" is the foundation and core of P.A.C.E. He is truly the best.

P.A.C.E. 2010 will also present instructors from across the nation and on top of their game, "in the zone," and willing to share their knowledge and experience.

Featuring the best of the best:

Sheriff Mike Lewis (Wicomico County, Maryland) - Retired from the Maryland State Police after twenty years of service. He is a nationally recognized expert in the areas of criminal interdiction and electronic/hydraulic hides. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be here!

Sgt Mike Connor (Maryland State Police, P.A.C.E. Team Leader) - Mike will instruct on advanced criminal interdiction and hidden compartments. He is an extremely active member of the team who was taught hands on, directly from "the Man", Mike Lewis. Currently, Connor continues the mission by making seizure after seizure along Route 95 in Maryland as well as by traveling around the country preaching his trade and imparting his skills.

Attorney John Scheft, Esq. (Search and Seizure) - Attorney Scheft has a gift. His gift is teaching "cops" so they can truly understand "Search and Seizure". We all know how quickly the laws change! Legal procedure is one of the most vital aspects of "criminal interdiction" and officers need to be able to articulate the who, when, where, why, and how of the event. John is outstanding! This presentation alone is worth the price of admission!

Troopers Romero and Arnold (Ohio State Police) - Both of the Ohio State Police, both K9 handlers but they will be instructing on another of their major skills -- driver/violator behavior. This pair of Troopers are truly crushing the smugglers as they attempt to cross this great nation and deliver their poison. They tell us, "We love Massachusetts drivers!". Come find out why!!

David Karsin (Winnepeg, Canada Police Service) - The threat from the North!

Sgt Charlie Kane (MA State Police) - Come and see Sgt Kane's MA Trap Vehicle display!
